Jan Gunnar Røise

The Norwegian actor Jan Gunnar Røise, born in 1975, has been a permanent ensemble member at the National Theatre in Oslo since graduating from the National Academy of Theatre in 2000. His versatile work extends from the stage to the screen. For his performance in the film "Barn" ("Beware of Children", 2019), he was honored with the Norwegian Amanda Award for Best Actor. His participation in Joachim Trier's "The Worst Person in the World" (2021) gained him international attention. Most recently, he appeared in the film "Sex", which was presented at the 2024 Berlinale.
