Cellars are often the real treasure troves of a house. Many people store things there that are particularly important to them or that are not intended for foreign eyes. While some basements are crammed with junk and it looks like someone with messie syndrome lives there, for others the rooms located below ground serve as private retreats, places of peace and quiet. As different as people are, as different are their basements, from hobby cellars to fitness cellars to torture cellars, everything is there. Ulrich Seidl, returning to documentary film after his "Paradise" trilogy, has climbed deep down to look behind closed doors...
