In northeastern Argentina, in Misiones, Pierre is mandated by a multinational to manage logging and pine plantations. In his work, Pierre has no scruples, shearing, burning and pouring agro-toxics into this fertile land to improve its yield. In Misiones, there are countless deformed babies, cases of cancer, and mentally handicapped children due to the use of agrotoxics. The rumblings among the population are spreading and Pierre has to deal with defectors among his own workers. Pierre also falls in love with Ana, a young teacher-activist who takes up the people's cause. Pushed into a corner, Pierre is left with no choice; he will have to choose sides.
