
Cinema manager Jacques Mulleman tells about the glory days of Cinéma Palace in Kortrijk and its evolution from a dance hall to the sex cinema of the neighbourhood. In 1922 Medard Mulleman starts a discotheque in Kortrijk, Dancing Palace. During the war, the hall was requisitioned by the Germans until it was turned into a cinema in 1949. Jacques Mulleman, who has taken over the business in the meantime, finds it hard to compete with the larger cinemas and decides to put mainly erotic films on the programme. The cinema is successful, but Jacques has his hands full with the public prosecutor's office and the hypocritical inhabitants of the city.
