Camille is a young photojournalist who goes to the Central African Republic to cover a brewing civil war. What she sees there will change her destiny forever. With patience, empathy and dedication, she succeeds in winning the trust not only of the local population but also of the armed militias and is thus able to document everyday life in the Central African Republic. The film is based on the life story of French journalist Camille Lepage, who died on May 12, 2014, in the Central African Republic. She was accompanying a group of Christian militia Anti-Balaka, who were ambushed. Real footage and photos made by Camille Lepage are seamlessly integrated into the film.
