Melvil Poupaud

French actor and filmmaker Melvil Poupaud, born in Paris in 1973, began his career in childhood. He established himself through collaborations with influential directors such as Éric Rohmer in *A Summer's Tale* (1996) and François Ozon, with whom he shot films like *Time to Leave* (2005). His acting versatility was showcased in works like Xavier Dolan's *Laurence Anyways* (2012) and Ozon's *By the Grace of God* (2019), both of which earned him César Award nominations for Best Actor.
